[25 Feb 2005|11:13pm] "LONDON - Deep-voiced Scottish singer Edwyn Collins, who had an international hit in 1995 with the song "A Girl Like You" is seriously ill in hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage, his management said Thursday. The 45-year-old former frontman of post-punk band Orange Juice suffered the hemorrhage on Sunday, his management said in a statement. "Edwyn Collins suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on Sunday night and has been in hospital since, where doctors are trying to stabilize his condition," the statement said. In the 1980s, Collins fronted Glasgow-based art rockers Orange Juice, who gained a large cult following. The band had a British Top 10 hit with "Rip It Up," which showcased Collins' seductive baritone.
